As parents, we have the power to build readers at home - without specialized training or fancy materials! This fun course gives plenty of ways to support your young children - while having fun with reading, writing, listening, and speaking. The objectives of this course are as follows:

  • Outline the compelling research about the importance of home literacy practices

  • Present the key literacy developments and milestones from ages birth through twelve

  • Provide concrete, practical, and easy-to-implement strategies to motivate and entertain readers through elementary school

 

Before You Start....

  • You do not need to be tech-savvy to complete the course.

The Wonderful World of Word Study K-8
